Parea Sons S.r.l. was founded in 2006 in Corte Franca, in the province of Brescia, and makes men’s and women’s cut-and-sewn knitwear. It is not a label that buys garments and puts its name on them: design, pattern-making, cutting, sewing and quality control all take place within the company and in the workshops of the surrounding area. That is why we can say Made in Italy without qualification.

Parea Sons works from the thread to the finished product: cotton, silk and linen. The Parea Sons Luxury Garments label — the one behind this site — dresses in linen alone, and is the part of the house devoted to sailing, golf and equestrian life.

The making
The complete cycle, in five stages
A garment crosses the house from one end to the other without ever leaving it. Each stage has its own room, and none is contracted out beyond the province.

Design and pattern-making
The sketch becomes a paper pattern through CAD systems. From here come the prototype and the sample: corrections are made there, not on the finished garment.

Cutting
An automated cutting room for the long runs, hand cutting for the fabrics that will not take it. Linen is one of them: it moves, and it has to be held.

Sewing and making-up
In-house and in the workshops of the area, the same ones for years. The visible seams are made by hand, stitch by stitch: it is the reason why two identical garments are never quite the same.

Fabric research and development
Yarns, weaves, finishes. It is the part nobody sees, and the part that decides how a garment ages — whether after thirty washes it is still itself, or something else.

Quality control
Garment by garment, before it leaves. A flaw caught here costs a garment; caught on the person who bought it, it costs the label.

For twenty years Parea Sons has produced for important names in luxury and for national and international labels. Those same hands, those same workshops, make the garments this site carries: the label changes, not the workbench.

Linen care
How to keep a garment that lasts
Linen is the strongest natural fibre there is, and unlike almost every other it improves with age: it softens with every wash. It does, however, ask to be treated for what it is.
Washing
Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, never with a full drum: wet linen is heavy and needs room so as not to crease in. Use a neutral detergent. No bleach, which dissolves the fibre, and no fabric softener, which closes it and takes away the very absorbency linen is chosen for.
Drying
In the air and in the shade, hung while still damp and pulled straight by hand: half the ironing is done there. A tumble dryer shortens the fibre; if you must, use a low temperature and take the garment out while still damp.
Ironing
While damp, with a hot iron on the linen setting, and on the reverse over colours and embroidery. It is the steam that opens the cloth, not the pressure.
Storing
Folded and not hung — cut-and-sewn knitwear stretches at the shoulders on a hanger — in a dry, well-aired place. Linen shut inside plastic takes up damp and stains.
Creases
They are not a flaw: they are the way this fibre tells you it is linen. A linen that does not crease is a linen treated not to crease, and it has lost its breathability along the way.

Finding your size
Parea Sons garments have a specific fit for men and for women, apart from the bomber and the high-neck jacket, which are cut genderless. The international conversions are set out below; the centimetre measurements for each model come with the technical sheet.

How to take your measurements
With a tailor’s tape, over your underwear and not over your clothes, held close but without pulling. The chest at its fullest point, under the arms; the waist at its narrowest; the hips at their fullest; the sleeve from the base of the neck to the shoulder and down to the wrist, with the arm slightly bent.
Between two sizes
Linen has no stretch: it will not give you back a centimetre the way a cotton jersey does. When in doubt, size up — above all on the jackets, which are worn over something else.

Shipping and returns
How to order, today
The online boutique is not yet live: the site shows the catalogue, the prices and the availability, but checkout is not connected to any payment provider. Until then, orders are placed by writing to us, and shipping is agreed together.
Private orders
Write to us stating the garment, the colour and the size: we will reply with availability, timings and payment terms. The form is under Make an enquiry, or you can write to [email protected].
Supply for clubs and resorts
Uniforms, welcome kits, capsules and supply orders have lead times tied to quantity and personalisation — embroidering a crest is one more operation. They are agreed at the quotation stage, together with delivery.
Right of withdrawal
On distance purchases made by a consumer, the Italian Consumer Code allows fourteen days to withdraw without having to give a reason, counted from the day the goods are received. This already applies today to orders concluded in writing.
Lead times, carriers and costs
We ship with GLS, within Italy, in 8-14 working days from when the order is confirmed. Carriage is €8.00, and free above €500.00; the cost of return is borne by the customer. The terms in full are in Shipping and returns; the general conditions of the site in Terms of use.
